The Seven Stairs Canyon is a gorge excavated in Jurassic limestone from the western part of the Piatra Mare Mountains. It consists of seven steps with heights between 2.5 and 15 meters, which give it its name and turn into waterfalls when the volume of the Seven Stairs is high.
The route is covered by metal stairs and was rehabilitated in 2013. The walkways and stairs are made of galvanized iron and are 100% safe for tourists. There is also a Tyrolean route, which was built in 2014.
The seven stairs canyon it has 160 meters with a difference of level of 58 meters, at an altitude of 948 meters. The gorge is made up of seven steps with heights between 2.5 and 15 meters.
Make sure that when you return to follow the route marked with a red dot, it is the bypass option and brings you back to the entrance to the canyon. This is the one-hour ride. If you want to take a longer walk go on the yellow tape marking to get to the Piatra Mare hut.
