Arsenal Park territory has a strong military load. During World War II it was the second largest ammunition producer in Europe and during the communist period it was said to be the best guarded place in Romania. After the revolution it was transformed into the only military-themed amusement park in Europe.
In the perimeter of the former armament factory was now Arsenal Park, the favorite tourist destination for family vacations and teambuilding. The complex has 230 accommodation places, and the eccentric tourists can sleep in beds located on cannon fittings in the Tun Room, in the TABs, in the Officer’s Rooms or in the luxurious Colonel Apartments or General Villas.
The avenues of the complex are guarded by 150 military exhibits: cannons, TABs, tracked carriers, missile devices, machine guns and anti-aircraft guns, rocket launchers, military trucks, a military ambulance, a locomotive, an IAR 93 aircraft, a Kamov Ka helicopter. 26. This is the largest military outdoor museum in Romania.
Guests have at their disposal an area of 88 hectares and 12 kilometers of alleys in the middle of a deciduous forest and plenty of activities to keep them engaged. Adrenaline and relaxation complement each other in the happiest way at Arsenal Park. The training activities alternate with resting sessions for the body and mind.
Flanked by the 2 terraces, the Popota Restaurant is unique in the country, through the army decorations, and after an adrenaline-filled day, the party can continue around an impressive campfire, with music and good cheer. For cool evenings the small village Dacic is ideal for parties with traditional dishes.
