Another great destination is The Bușteni-Babele cable car is a cable car from Romania that connects the city of Bușteni with the Bucegi plateau. It is particularly useful for tourists who try to reach Babele , the Cross of the Heroes of the Nation (Crucea Caraiman) or the Omu Peak as early as the summer season .
Going back to the history of Romania, the country is being in the stage of socio-multi-national development at the time of the recent president of Romania (Socialist), Nicolae Ceausescu , wanted to develop the tourism side. As in that period (60s – 70s) the expansion and establishment of a large national tourism was wanted, the then Minister of Tourism, Ion Cozma , initiated a series of projects whose role was to reinvigorate national tourism and bring it to the standards to other countries.
The actual works begin in the spring of 1973 where the
specific tools for mining works are brought bulldozers, excavators, dumpers,
labor force (lifeguards, Forest Direction teams to plan the route of the future
cable cars), cranes, manual and electric trolleys, etc. Once the site
teams have been established, they move to the part of the site. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday are Programs with
the public : 09.00-17.00
Rules to follow in the cable car: it climbs quietly, without rocking the cabin;
the safety and signaling devices are not operated; in the case of stopping the
cable car, the instructions of the accompanying personnel shall be observed; no
smoking.
