Located between Rucăr and Bran, at the foot of the Piatra Craiului Mountains, in the village of Dâmbovicioara, the cave is easily accessible regardless of the direction of walking. The road is paved and in good conditions, and to enter the National Park a fee of 2 lei per person is paid. If you wish, you can leave your car at the entrance to the Park and take a 4 km hike to the cave.
To get to the cave we passed through the Dâmbovicioara village, and the scenery … The scenery is totally beautiful! The Dâmbovicioara cave was formed 15,000 years ago, and here is the place where both cave bear artifacts and rock drawings have been found.In the cave are constantly 10-12 degrees, and the route is arranged and illuminated.
