Palace of Parliament‬

The Parliament Palace in Bucharest , Romania known before the revolution as the House of the Republic or the People’s House, measures 270 m by 240 m, 86 m high, and 92 m below the ground in the spirit of socialist realist architecture. It has 9 levels on the surface and another 9 underground. 

According to World Records Academy, the Parliament Palace is the second largest administrative building for civilian use as a surface in the world, and the most expensive administrative building in the world and the largest building in the world.

 The building “The Parliament Palace” is located in the central part of Bucharest ( sector 5 ), on the place that today is called Arsenal Hill. It is 10 minutes away from Unirii Square.

The hill on which the Palace of Parliament is today is generally a creation of nature, having an initial height of 18 m, but the part from the Boulevard of Liberty is artificially raised.

The palace is open to visitors by tourists and offers programs of visit in several languages ​​of international circulation.
