Viscri is a charming Saxon village in the heart of Transylvania. More than 30,000 visitors who flock here every year.
Viscri village became famous after Prince Charles of Great Britain bought a property here, Prince Charles being fascinated by Transylvanian villages, by unaltered Romanian traditions, by the beauty of the places and by the fact that many territories remained untouched by the intervention of civilization.
Currently, Viscri village is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage, being one of the seven villages with fortified churches included in this select list of protected places.
Part of the commune of Brasov Bunești and located about 80 kilometers from the municipality of Brasov, Viscri can be reached through the village of Dacia, on a country road that goes up and down the hills, or through the village of Bunești, neighboring to Dacia.
